Thursday - Last Game, Last Day in Florida

The day started with Zach, Steve, and the Bubbers playing 22 holes of disc golf. Johnny and Amy stayed behind to do a little bit of shopping at Ron Jon's Surf Shop and then spend the day on the beach.

After a stop at 7-11 for Slurpies and hot dogs, it was off to the final game of our trip, The Nationals vs. the Houston Astros.

Gio Gonzalez, Nationals Pitcher signed in the off-season signed balls for the boys.

Edwin Jackson, signed in the off-season from the St. Louis Cardinals, started the game.

Ryan Zimmerman, who plays 3rd base and recently signed a $75MM contract, connected for a home run in the first inning off veteran pitcher, Livian Hernandez.

The Nationals started Mark DeRosa (#7) whom Zach and Steve remembered from his playing days with the Richmond Braves back in the day. Jason Werth (#28) also started for the Nationals.

Although we had seats 4 rows from the field, the temps were so hot that we moved up under some covered seating.

After the game, the boys got some more autographs, posed with a player, and signed a spacecraft outside the stadium.

At the end of the day we were treated to a beautiful rainbow above the Cocoa Beach sky.

Wednesday - Braves vs. World Champion St. Louis cardinals
